Welcome!

Dr. Alexandra Moreland, PhD, MA, LPCC is a licensed professional clinical counselor, academic leader, and behavioral health executive with over a decade of experience serving individuals, families, and communities through compassionate, evidence-based care. Her clinical practice offers individual, family, and parenting therapy services with a focus on emotional wellbeing, attention challenges (including ADHD), relationship dynamics, and family-based healing. Dr. Moreland works with clients across the lifespan, beginning with children as young as age five, and provides flexible care options to support both younger children and adolescents, including in-home parenting consultation when appropriate.

Dr. Moreland integrates a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach into therapy, drawing from her extensive background in systems-based care, child and adolescent development, and interdisciplinary collaboration. For families navigating behavioral or attention-related concerns, she provides structured parenting sessions that offer practical tools, behavioral strategies, and relational support tailored to each family’s unique needs. She is particularly passionate about creating safe and supportive spaces for youth, and encourages family therapy engagement when working with younger children to promote long-term emotional growth and resilience.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Moreland serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at SAC Health, where she leads a diverse team of therapists, psychiatric providers, and addiction recovery specialists across multiple sites. She oversees strategic planning, program development, and integrated care models that bring together behavioral health, primary care, and social services for underserved communities.

Dr. Moreland also holds the role of Chief Health and Wellbeing Officer for the Inland Empire Mental Health Training and Integration Center at the University of Redlands, where she champions mental health literacy, institutional wellbeing strategies, and the training of future clinicians. Her work bridges clinical excellence with graduate education, with a focus on equity, resilience, and student-centered care.

She earned her PhD in Systems, Families, and Couples from Loma Linda University, where her research focused on the treatment of complex ADHD in youth navigating fragmented healthcare systems. She has published on professional perspectives in ADHD care, served as a clinical director in interdisciplinary free clinics, and continues to teach graduate-level courses on topics such as child development, psychopathology, assessment, and treatment of severe mental illness.

Dr. Moreland is a passionate advocate for advancing access to mental health services, reducing stigma, and creating trauma-informed systems of care that are inclusive, responsive, and culturally attuned.
